I am so scared when I think about this life and how I can best prepare Ella...but I know that this is why we pray, and have Family Night, and are put into families.
Your post made me think of the quote “If you want to talk to God pray, if you want God to talk to you read your scriptures”
The most difficult part of prayer for me is when we get into a disagreement at night. I know we need to pray and read our scriptures. . . but that’s the last thing we feel like doing….or if we do…it doesn’t feel sincere.
I’m open to suggestions for all those imperfect people that have found themselves in this situation.Nikkihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00062615289919657827noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699488316133200977.post-21370453442489091372008-09-10T19:01:00.000-07:002008-09-10T19:01:00.000-07:00Wil has really strengthened my testimony of prayer...Wil has really strengthened my testimony of prayer. He is so young but already loves to pray. his favorite time of day is when we kneel together at night as a family and pray. he can tell that it is a special time and obviously loves the feeling of when we pray together because he comes up to me periodically during the day and folds his arms and bows his head. i am so grateful for him and his reminders for me to thank heavenly father for every little thing. every cookie, every cup of juice, and sometimes even for books we read :)elise blainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15737803198218371534noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3699488316133200977.post-65372395205191922672008-09-03T11:37:00.000-07:002008-09-03T11:37:00.000-07:00One of the most powerful prayer's I've ever had wa...One of the most powerful prayer's I've ever had was when i was in the mtc and my companion was gone for whatever reason. So I kneeled down and started to say a personal prayer but out loud...I hadn't done that before. I felt the spirit more closely than ever before. So, moral of the story...try praying out loud by yourself. You may be surprised!Seth B.https://www.blogger.com/profile/16802103145319933552noreply@blogger.com
